Shea Fisher-Durfey, Tyson Durfey & their Family

Between them, they have serval irons in the fire. Beyond being a world champion rodeo athlete and a recording artist, they own several businesses and investment properties.
Shea Michelle Buckle Designs started back in 2010 when Shea was living in Nashville, Tennessee, chasing her music dreams. Her parents established a buckle design company in Australia and Shea decided to bring a division of it to America. Today, the company sells approximately 10,000 pieces annually and has evolved to include buckles, spurs, jewelry, other Western trophy-type products, award jackets and leather work.
Their next venture was Shea Baby, which launched in early 2017. Shea Baby offers a full line of Western-themed infant and toddler boots and clothing for both girls and boys. In the last five months alone the company has taken off, going from four retail stores to 500.
Tyson has paired his talent for roping with his motivational mindset to form a company called NO LIMITS. It is a mentorship program that includes coaching and inspirational advice for rodeo athletes.

Despite owning and operating multiple businesses together and focusing on their respective professional careers, they are first and foremost Christians and parents to three beautiful children. Above all other matters, their faith, marriage and family life take precedence. Shea says it best: “We stay very busy between Tyson’s rodeoing, my singing and our other companies. We really try and have a healthy balance because it’s easy to get wrapped up in so many things going on. But we definitely put God and family first.”
COWBOY ETHICS
The Durfeys believe that balance and perspective are of utmost importance to their happiness. According to Tyson, you must ask yourself, “What are you doing it for?” The Durfeys keep this question in mind as they approach each day and each choice. Knowing that “children don’t keep”, they are conscious about being truly present, enjoying every moment, big and small. They focus on parenting and teaching their children “cowboy ethics.” Tyson describes this brand of ethics as: “You shake someone’s hand. You look them in the eye. You treat them with respect. No matter where they come from or where they’re at. You do the right thing.”
The Durfeys are instilling other important values in their children as well, including solid financial practices. The couple became members of AgTexas a decade ago when they financed the purchase of their first home property.
AgTexas member and spokesman Bob Tallman introduced Tyson to Chad Alleva. Chad is a regional vice president of lending in the Stephenville branch and has been the Durfey’s lender from the beginning.
““Tyson and Shea are a pleasure to work with and I have been fortunate to get to know them over the years. I am thankful they chose AgTexas.” ~ Chad Alleva”

Over the past decade, AgTexas has worked with the couple in many different ways, including long-term financing on multiple ranch properties, 1031 exchanges, operating notes for cattle and horses, refinancing their rodeo rig and even the construction note for their current home.
Tyson says, “As we grow, the relationship grows.” Shea adds that they are appreciative of the deep, one-on-one connection they have with AgTexas. She states, “They’ve always been so supportive and helped us grow as a family and allowed us to have this beautiful ranch, that’s on the river with an indoor arena and build our dream home. The things that we’ve always dreamed of and now we are able to have.”
"...it’s easy to get wrapped up in so many things going
on. But we definitely put God and family first.”

AgTexas is proud to partner with the Durfeys and support them in the pursuit of their goals. It’s a great honor to feature them, and all that they stand for, as our FACES of AGTEXAS.
