The program honors students who excel in the classroom and as leaders in their FFA chapters and 4-H clubs.

The Ag Youth Leader of the Year Award is an expansion of the AgTexas Ag Youth of the Month program. It is designed to honor and recognize individuals that have dedicated much of their lives to growing and nurturing the next generation of agriculturists. Youth organizations like FFA and 4-H are integral to the future of agriculture – FFA and 4-H leaders are integral to the future of students.
If you know an advisor, club leader, extension agent, etc. that deserves to be acknowledged, please nominate them! The nomination window will be open from September 15 – December 31, 2025.
Our Ag Youth Leader of The Year recipients for the 2024-2025 cycle are Taylor Christie – Tahoka FFA Advisor, Austin Heck – Nazareth FFA Advisor, and Miranda Johnson – Corsicana FFA Advisor. It was a privilege to meet and honor them at our banquets earlier this year.
We have an incredible scholarship opportunity for alumni of the #AgTexas Ag Youth of the Month program!
This is a merit-based scholarship, designed to provide aid to former Ag Youth of the Month students with their continued collegiate endeavors.
