Focus Forward Event 2023
In a world that is continually advancing, what does this mean for the future of AgTexas Farm Credit Services? The truth is, we’re still figuring that out! What we do know is that we are making strides as an association everyday to make AgTexas the best and most reliable source of credit and crop insurance for our member-owners. In late July, our executive team, Board of Directors, and the Young Advisory Board met in Fort Worth to discuss some of the latest topics in Farm Credit, enhancing customer experience, and the general pulse of our association. We called this meeting, “Focus Forward”.
During the two-day meeting, Farm Credit Council's President and CEO, Todd Van Hoose, joined AgTexas to give an update about the status of reauthorization for the Farm Bill that is set to expire in September of 2023. More information regarding the Farm Bill can be found here. Additionally, we heard from Communications Service Provider, David Avrin, on how to create advantages throughout the customer experience. He provided insight on how AgTexas can better serve our customers in speed, accuracy, and ease. We also had the privilege to speak to Davis Auksmuksts, Principal at Plug and Play Tech Center, which is a leading corporate innovation platform. He shared his knowledge of technological advancement in the modern world and business development activities for growing companies, such as AgTexas FCS. Our final speaker was David Camp, SVP of Strategic Operations at Farm Credit Bank of Texas, discussing the latest improvements with FarmView. FarmView is the platform that AgTexas and several other 10th district farm credit institutions have adopted in recent years. This program combined the entire loan process from the moment the customer requests a loan, to the signing and booking of the loan. David shared the new updates and bug fixes that FCBT is working on diligently to release in the near future.
It wasn’t all business however, the attendees traded in their blazers for tennis shoes and golf clubs for an evening of Top Golf. In between swings, lighthearted conversation took place and customer stories were shared. The marketing team was fortunate enough to interview the members of our Board of Directors and the Young Advisory Board about their experience with AgTexas. The team was able to gather personal testimonies all while sharing a laugh or two. The Focus Forward event is a prime example of AgTexas’ commitment to providing world-class customer service. All that being said, exciting things are happening at AgTexas! We can’t wait to see what the future has in store.
